Sales Manager sought by Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles, Inc. in Los Angeles, California to plan, direct and coordinate numismatic auctions and sales; analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and monitor the preferences of customers; monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts; advise clients on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of each auction; review reports of conditions and trends of rear coin and collectibles markets; analyze correlation between prices realized and auction dates, and prices of precious metals, bid/ask spread, transaction time, market depth, lack of dividend and interest income affecting investments in numismatics to determine price schedules; interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment in rare coins; monitor developments in the fields of numismatics; monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from American Numismatic Association (ANA), Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), financial publications, government agencies, trade publications, and action firms; direct and train clerical staff to keep records of action correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections.

Requires Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, and one (1) year of experience researching conditions and trends of rear coin and collectibles markets; analyzing correlation between prices realized and auction dates, and prices of precious metals, bid/ask spread, transaction time, market depth, lack of dividend and interest income affecting investments in numismatics.
